The iPad Air (the fifth generation iPad) was announced at Apple’s October 22 Event. In addition to a brand new design for the full-sized iPad (mostly taken from the iPad mini), Apple updated its internal components. This iPad will be available for purchase starting November 1. Here’s a breakdown of the new iPad Air with features, tech specs and what’s included along with rumors for future iPads.
Our computers are really great for connecting our iDevices to iTunes, our flash drives to download content and external hard drives, but there is one limitation that our computers struggle with: USB ports. Many computers only have a few USB ports and usually they are taken up by our products. I have a MacBook and it only has two USB drives, but I have 3 iDevices in addition to other products that require USB ports. A new product on Indiegogo has a solution for this problem and it is called the Stack. This handy little device incorporates an iPhone charger (either 30-pin or Lightning) in a male/female USB port (see picture below). The Stack borrows a concept from something we all know: Christmas lights. Christmas lights stack into each other and are very convenient because usually people don’t have hundreds of extension cords laying around. On the Stack, there’s a “male” end which connects to the computer, the charger cable that connects to your iDevice and the “female” end which allows another USB device to connect to it.
