With all the craziness from iPhone 7 design sketches and rumors coming out this week, I decided to take a short break in our content and share a recent commercial showing off the iPhone 6s with hands-free Siri. This ad star Neil Patrick Harris (and Siri), who also starred in a recent commercial titled Onions. In this one, he asks Siri to read a note titled “Thank You Speech” and he mouths it while she says it.
On Monday, Apple updated their YouTube page with two new commercials for the iPhone 6s. The first one, which is called “Fingerprints,” shows how Touch ID can be used to unlock everyday objects. It is no longer just for unlocking an iPhone, but also used to login to apps, check in on flights, pay for things (Apple Pay), and start cars.
The second commercial guest stars Neil Patrick Harris and is entitled “Onions.” It is about a girl filming her mother cutting onions on her iPhone 6s with 4K video. The video becomes viral and she eventually wins an award for it.
Yesterday, Apple released a new commercial that focuses on the new 3D Touch display of the iPhone 6s, specifically its new “Peek and Pop” feature. This allows you to peek at a link, picture, etc. with a light press without completely opening it. A deep press will open it like any other iPhone would. The ad also has a brief cameo appearance with Jamie Foxx.
