Last week, we saw pictures of the rumored protruding camera on the iPhone 6. The technical specifications also came out and claimed that the camera would extend up to .77mm beyond the device. We have yet to really see a fully-assembled iPhone 6 that shows the claim until now. Gizmobic got their hands on some pictures from ithome that show us an iPhone 6 with the protruding camera. The pictures also reveal to us other rumored changes.
The front of the phone shows us the larger iSight camera (with hopefully a higher resolution), the two elongated volume controls, thinner bezels, a taller and wider display and curved glass. The glass was originally expected to be made of sapphire, but it appears that due to high costs and limited supply, the sapphire may only be available on higher-end models and not in full production until 2015. For the iPhone 6 models being announced in two weeks, we expect them to use Corning Gorilla glass. New reports also claim the 4.7″ phone’s display would have a resolution of 1472 x 828 pixels and the 5.5″ phone’s display would be 1704 x 960. This calculates out to the 4.7″ phone having 350 pixels per inch (ppi) and the 5.5″ iPhone would have 360 ppi.
