Although it is expected that Apple is working on two models of the eight-generation iPhone, likely called the “iPhone 6″, only one will be available in September. The smaller phone with a 4.7” display will apparently be announced on September 9th at Apple’s confirmed media event, while the one with a 5.5″ display may be delayed. We have seen a lot of evidence for the smaller device, but not that much for the larger one. This may confirm that it won’t be available for a couple of months. Nowhereelse.fr shares a new video with us that shows the rear shell being displayed for the 5.5″ iPhone 6.
The blog claims that the larger iPhone will be called the “iPhone Air” and not “iPhone 6” or the rumored name “iPhone 6L”. This phone will likely have similar specs to the 4.7″ model, but it will be much wider, taller and have more internal room. This would allow for a larger battery, the rumored sapphire display and definitely a higher price.
