In addition, the CEO of Target is very interested in supporting Apple Pay in its stores once the company converts to chip-and-pin. Target currently allow customers to use Apple Pay with its app, but this is limited to products bought online and not in store. The CEO’s goal is to convert to chip-and-pin by the holidays and then look into supporting other payment services, like Apple Pay afterwards. We may see Apple Pay support starting early next year.
