Apple held three special events over this past year: the Worldwide Developer’s Conference in June and two special events in the Fall.  They announced a plethora of new products in terms of hardware and software. We don’t expect Apple to hold another event this year, but the next one should be in early 2015. Apple is currently selling two generations of iPhone with four different models. Tech Specs for iPhone 6 Confirmed in Leaked Documents

Apple is expected to reveal two new iPhones again this year in September.  The first one, the iPhone 6, will have a 4.7″ display and be the successor to the iPhone 5s. The second phone, the iPhone 6L, will have a 5.5″ display and be a larger version of the iPhone 6.  A new document from inside Foxconn, one of Apple’s suppliers, confirms the technical specifications for each of the phones.  This photo, which was originally posted by French website iGen, also confirms the protruding camera rumor that AppleClub posted about recently.

The tech specs for both iPhone models are leaked in this picture.

The 4.7″ iPhone 6 (code-named N61) will measure 138.1 mm long by 67 mm wide and 6.6mm thick. The 5.5″ iPhone 6L (code-named N56) will measure 158.1mm long by 77.8mm wide and 7.1mm thick with a weight of 184.6g.  These specs do not take into account the protruding camera.  The final model, the N51, is the code name for the iPhone 5s. It measure 123.8 mm long by 58.6 mm wide and 7.6 mm thick.  This leaked document shows that not only will the next-generation iPhones be getting taller, but they will be wider too.

iPhone 6 Won't Have Sapphire Display, Will Have Faster WiFi, A8 Processor, Better Touch ID

We believe that we know what the iPhone 6 will look like and we have a good idea of the internal improvements.  VentureBeat came out with a new report that details what features we will see and which ones we won’t.  For the source of their information, they cited someone with knowledge of Apple’s plans.

The rumor mill has been back and forth about the material of the front panel for the next-generation iPhone. It was rumored that Apple would be going with Corning Gorilla Glass, like they have in previous iPhone generations. Then we heard that they would be using sapphire glass instead.  Another rumor came out suggesting only the 5.5″ iPhone 6 will be getting the sapphire glass.  VentureBeat reports that neither of the phones will be getting sapphire glass this time around, but they won’t be using Gorilla glass either.  The front panel will be made of a material harder than Gorilla glass, but softer then sapphire. Last month, Marques Brownlee made a video using Mohs scale of mineral hardness and determined that garnet and emery were able to scratch the front panel even though they are softer than the rumored sapphire display. If the panel was truly made of sapphire, these two minerals would not be able to scratch it.

The iPhone 6 is rumored to come two models with different display sizes.  The first iPhone 6, which expected out in the Fall, will be 4.7″ and the second iPhone 6, which expected out in late Quarter 4, will be 5.5″.  As we get closer to the September, we will see more and more photos leaked every week of the smaller screened iPhone.

Over the weekend, pictures of the molds and schematics were leaked online via Weibo.  The molds below would be used to produce the iPhone and as noted by Nowhereelse.fr, they would be used for the 4.7-inch model.

The iPhone 4S is next to the mold and a photoshopped picture of the iPhone 5s is placed inside for comparison.

The writer that photoshopped the iPhone 5s into the mold said this (translated via Google Translate and by 9to5Mac):

“Coincidentally or not, if the boxes iPhone 6 will actually be manufactured using the mold and assuming that my calculations are correct, this model should measure approximately 138mm long by 64mm wide and be fitted with a screen of 4.7 inches.

Finally, I would just like to clarify that the bottom of the mold measuring around 123mm long and 58mm wide which curiously corresponds to the dimensions of the iPhone 5s (123.8mm 58.6mm on). Therefore remain cautious and keep in mind that it could actually be used in the production of boxes of this model”

Schematics for the iPhone 6 also were leaked online over the weekend and shows a sketches with details in Chinese.

I don’t know Chinese so I am unable to translate what the schematics say, but it shows a very slim device.  Rumors have suggested the iPhone 6 will be between 7.0mm and 7.5mm thin.  The iPhone 6 may also have a protruding camera, like on the iPod touch, which might make the phone slightly thicker.
