First set of apps show support for Apple Watch in updates on App Store

There is still slightly less than a month until the Apple Watch comes out and apps are already submitting updates to the App Store to support the device. Target was the first, which brings your shopping list created within the iPhone app to your wrist. Several others have followed suit to announce their support as well.

  • view one-sentence stories about what’s going on in the world (Glances)
  • receive notifications about big breaking news stories
  • use handoff to continue reading the story on the iPhone or iPad



  • receive notifications for flight status and gate changes
  • view most relevant hotel booking information, like check-in time, address information and maps



  • dictate notes into the watch app to be transcribed and synced to Evernote
  • see new, recently updated and viewed notes
  • create reminders



  • tweet, retweet, reply and favorite tweets
  • view recent tweets and top trends
  • share your location, a song or thoughts



  • read messages and reply with text or stickers
  • view people on your Friend Radar to make new friends
