Ahead of the Apple Watch special event next week, WatchAware has created a website in conjunction with developers to get a feel for how apps will work on the Apple Watch. The website, here, lets you see actual screenshots and limited interactions with the app.
Currently, WatchAware has a total eighteen different applications on the site, like Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook. The sites lets you see how notifications, glances and apps will work. Notifications that appear on the Apple Watch are an extension of notifications on the iPhone. When an app, like Pinterest, sees that you are within range of a recent pin, it will notify your iPhone and then Apple Watch. Glances are read-only app screens that gives out quick and essential information, like flight information in the American Airlines app or the current temperature in your home with the Total Connect Comfort app. There are also some apps on the website that are just apps. They may show you a screenshot or a quick demo video.
If developers would like their Apple Watch app to be displayed on WatchAware’s website, they can email them here.
This website shows off a few of the Apple Watch apps that may be showcased at the event next week. It happens on Monday, March 9th at 10am Pacific or 1pm Eastern.
